Library Instruction Services for E-Learning Courses

The Library is happy to offer virtual assistance to students enrolled in E-Learning Courses. Below are some ways you can incorporate the library into your courses.

If you are interested in and/or need help with any of the following services, please check the appropriate boxes on the list and submit the form below. The librarian liaison to your department will contact you to help with the details.

Provide a link to the appropriate Research Guide.

The subject-specialist librarians create Research Guides in each of the disciplines that help point students to the appropriate resources in their field (reference books, databases, etc). Each of the research guides includes the librarian's contact information and the Ask-a-Librarian Live Chat/Email, so that students can contact librarians if they have any questions.

Link to / Embed Library Tutorials.

Library Orientation and other online tutorials (e.g., Plagiarism, Popular vs. Scholarly sources) may be linked to so that they are available as-needed to students. Additionally, instructors may assign a tutorial to students for a grade (as most of the tutorials offer a quiz). Visit our Tutorials page for a complete list of lessons.

Request custom online-instruction for your class.

The subject-specialist librarians may be able to create tutorials or research guides that are specifically suited to your course or discipline. We may also be available to schedule a synchronous Elluminate library instruction session for your students. If your course is blended and also meets F2F, we are happy to provide F2F library instruction as well.
