Physics Success

Physics Success sessions are designed to offer students additional support for Algebra-Based Physics I (PHY 2053) and/or Calculus-Based Physics I (PHY 2048)outside of their lecture, with the help of peer Physics Success Leaders.


About Physics Success

The Physics Success program provides additional support for students enrolled in Algebra-Based Physics I (PHY 2053) and/or Calculus-Based Physics I (PHY 2048) lecture courses. These sessions are mandatory for all students enrolled in either course. Students will attend one of three weekly, 50 minute Bio Success sessions offered for the lecture section in which they are enrolled. The Algebra-Based Physics I  sessions will be led by student Physics Success leaders who have successfully completed Algebra-Based Physics I, and for those who will be leading Calculus-Based Physics I sessions, successfully completed Calculus-Based Physics I.

These Physics Success sessions will allow students to work together in groups to solve worksheets and do activities designed to further solidify the concepts presented in their Physics lectures. Students will also have the advice and guidance of peers who have completed Algebra-Based Physics I  and Calculus-Based Physics I, in addition to the support they receive from their lecture professor.
