Design/Construction Current Status (look ahead of upcoming/ongoing work):
- Following firm reviews with the Athletics Department, proposal scope negotiations with a continuing contract A/E firm for Design Services began in May 2021; with Finalized A/E Proposal with incorporation of all requested scope received 9/2/21. Issuance of Purchase Order for contracted for A/E Design Services September 2021.
- Receipt of FY21-22 CITF funding appropriation in Fall.
- Design Team in process of holding programming meetings with the user groups and developing concept plan layouts.
- Next Milestone – Issuance of QBS Solicitation for Construction Management Services anticipated in 2022; followed by completion of evaluation and selection process; and then contract negotiations and issuance of Purchase Order / contract to Construction Manager.
Project Title: Building 54, Fire Mitigation

Design/Construction Current Status (look ahead of upcoming/ongoing work):
- QBS Solicitation for Design/Build Services: the evaluation and selection process was completed October 2021.
- Appropriation allocation for FY22 received Fall 2021.
- Project Kickoff Team Meeting held 11/10/2021.
- Contract negotiations completed (12/2/21).
- Next Milestone – Execution of Contract will follow; with issuance of Purchase Order for the initial pre-construction/design services. Finalization of total contract amount to follow receipt of GMP after design and pricing.
Note: There is also an additional separate HVAC project that will be occurring in Building 54. Cost of this project is budgeted at $900,000 total. Planned scope of this B54 Phase III HVAC work includes replacement of the remaining equipment serving rooms located on the south/southeast sides of the building.
