Dr. Sikha Bagui


Dr. Sikha Bagui, Professor, is a co-author of several books on SQL and Database Design. Her books have also been translated into several different languages and have international editions. Dr. Bagui has also published over 40 peer-reviewed publications. Her research areas can broadly be classified as database design, data mining and statistical computing. Bagui’s findings have been published in Pattern Recognition, International Journal of Data Warehousing and Mining, Data Science Journal, International Journal of Intelligent Information Technology and Database Systems, and more. Bagui, a UWF faculty member since 1999, has taught numerous courses, including Advanced Database Systems, Data Mining, Database Systems, Database Administration, Data Structures, Java Programming, and more.

My research interests are in the areas of database design and modeling, as well as data mining and statistical computing as applied to Big Data on the Hadoop system. In data mining, my primary area of concentration is on association rule mining, and pattern analysis in Big Data.
