CodeFest
A collaborative event between the Hal Marcus College of Science and Engineering and the College of Business preparing students for 48 hours of optimized creativity in coding, making connections, and improving presentation and technical skills.
About CodeFest Competition
Every year across the country, programmers, project managers, graphic designers, and others within the software development industry come together to participate in hackathons. These are weekend getaways for the technically minded and UWF is proud to be hosting this event. This weekend-long event invites students from around the region to come together and work with professional mentors to develop a product. That's 36 hours from an idea to a demo! This is a great way for students to learn and network with other students, professors, and community leaders.

THEME > ENGAGE ACCESS!
While projects must be focused on a central theme, there is no limit on the technologies that can be used to create the product. We welcome any ideas that correspond with the theme.
The idea behind this year’s theme is to foster community and to make resources available to everyone. This includes creating online social communities, allowing for distributed partnerships and collaborations, teaching others on a topic of interest or hobby, or perhaps making difficult subjects more accessible to others.
The main areas of primary interest include:
- Online social communities and engagement
- Allowing for geographically distributed partnerships and collaborations
- Engaging others in topics of interest
- Making education accessible
As long as your idea fits within the theme then feel free to try new and interesting ideas! This is an event for anything your mind can think of!
IMAGINATION HAS NO LIMITS!
COST PER PERSON IS $10
