The University's COVID-19 Plans
On June, 23, 2020, the Florida Board of Governors approved the University of West Florida's COVID-19 reopening plan. The plan was also approved by the UWF Board of Trustees on June 19, 2020.
The plan aligns with the State University System of Florida Blueprint for Reopening Campuses.
Overview
UWF developed this plan while keeping the safety, security and well-being of students and employees at the forefront of every decision.
The plan is subject to change based upon federal, state or local guidance.
To form the plan, UWF President Martha D. Saunders established a Return to Campus Task Force and five subcommittees to focus on the below specific key areas that align with the reopening blueprint provided by the Florida Board of Governors. The task force, which includes representatives from all areas of the institution, addresses and monitors the repopulation framework during regular meetings.
UWF Planning Groups
Teams across the University have come together to help UWF move forward from the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve actively engaged with Faculty Senate and Student Government, as well as other groups of students, faculty and staff members, and community partners who have all shared their questions and provided input on planning efforts.
