Graduate Entrepreneurship

The University of West Florida, College of Business in cooperation with successful Emerald Coast business leaders has launched a graduate level Certificate in Entrepreneurship. The program serves as a vehicle for the development of entrepreneurial ideas under the mentorship of successful entrepreneurs. Earn your certificate in-person or online at UWF.

Upon completion of the graduate level Entrepreneurship Certificate, the student will be able to do the following:

  • Create and describe new venture ideas.
  • Formulate and articulate an elevator speech to effectively outline and sell a new venture idea to a client.
  • Recognize new venture ideas and synthesize into a well-structured business plan for a new business endeavor.
  • Consult with a small business to assess a real business problem and generate a plan with solutions.

  • The Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship is also offered online.
  • The Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship is not available to students pursuing the MBA with the Entrepreneurship emphasis.
  • Candidates pursuing the Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship are required to complete all Certificate courses with a grade of "C" or better, and maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or better.
  • Normally, transfer courses cannot be used to satisfy requirements for completion of graduate certificates in the College of Business.
  • The University’s six-year policy on “Time to Degree:  Master’s” applies to completion of coursework for graduate certificates in the College of Business.
