April Donahue

Biography

Since May 2013, April Donahue has been the Executive Director of Collier County Medical Society (CCMS), a membership association for nearly 700 physicians in Naples, Florida, and its charitable arm, the Foundation of CCMS. Her previous work experience also includes the Collier County Supervisor of Elections office, Hawaii Medical Association, and Sunrise Greetings – a Hallmark Cards subsidiary.

 April currently serves on the boards of the American Association of Medical Society Executives (AAMSE), the CCMS Political Action Committee, and the Physician Led Access Network of Collier County. She is a past chair of the Conference of Florida Medical Society Executives, a past board member for the Florida Medical Association and for their Political Action Committee. She is also a member of the AAMSE Leadership Committee and led CCMS to the AAMSE Profiles of Excellence President’s Award in 2019 and Advocacy Award under $2 million budget, 2019.

April completed the Leadership Florida Cornerstone Program 2020 and Leadership Collier in 2017. She is co-chair of the Leadership Florida Southwest Region Awards Committee, serves as a session co-chair for Youth Leadership Collier, and is a past chair of the Leadership Collier Foundation marketing committee. She was recognized as the Leadership Collier Foundation 2018 Volunteer of the Year. Also, April was named to the Gulfshore Business magazine’s 2014 Southwest Florida “40 under 40”, and the Naples Illustrated magazine’s “The Naples 100” - Collier County’s 100 most influential business leaders in 2020. April was born in Indiana and graduated from DePauw University with a major in Religions and a minor in Anthropology.
