Being a STEM student mentee is a unique opportunity to learn directly from a professional mentor's experience, knowledge, and skills. The one-on-one mentoring relationship allows each mentee to receive individualized attention and guidance related to career aspirations, professional development, and networking opportunities.

Student Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a full-time or part-time undergraduate student in the Hal Marcus College of Science and Engineering
  • Open to Junior and Senior students. (Due to the goals and objectives of the program, candidates should be 9-18 months or more from their anticipated graduation date.)
  • Students should be in good standing with a minimum of 2.0 cumulative GPA
  • All students must complete the STEM Student Mentee Application (below)

Student Responsibilities

  • Attend a STEM Mentor Program Orientation
  • Students drive the mentor-mentee relationship and take an active role in contacting their mentor and planning/coordinating meeting times
  • Commit to meeting monthly with their mentor
  • Attend events hosted by the Mentor Program
