Monica Respondek

Mónica Respondek joined the UWF community and the Center of Cybersecurity team in the Spring of 2021. She serves as the Program Coordinator under the National Cybersecurity Workforce Development Program for the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity and UWF’s CyberSkills2Work Program.

Mónica brings over 25 years of experience in student affairs, program coordination, student engagement, advising, and pre-college and retention programs. She is the former Coordinator of Special Projects for Equity and Student Engagement and the Associated Student Government advisor at West Hills College Lemoore, California. She holds an M. Ed. in Adult and Higher Education with a focus in Student Services from the University of Oklahoma at Norman and a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Education from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Mónica is a first-generation college student with a passion for student development, equity, student engagement, and life-long learning, which has resulted in her commitment to assisting in creating educational environments that foster academic success, motivation, personal growth, and persistence. She is a military spouse, step-mommy to a little girl, college mentor, and service volunteer.
