The UWF Argo Marching and Pep Bands are THE performing music ensembles at all home football and basketball games.
About
The University of West Florida Argo Athletic Band was founded in the Fall of 2018, and rebranded in 2024 to the Argo Marching Band. Since its inception, the Argo Band continues to grow rapidly, gaining both community interest and support.
Band membership is open to all UWF students and PSC students with a musical background. Both music and non-music majors are encouraged and welcomed to join. Argo Band members are a valued part of UWF's campus life. Current members of the Argo Bands are majors in every college and department within the University.
During football season, the Argo Marching Band performs at both pregame and half-time at all home UWF football games. During basketball season, the Argo Pep Band performs at men’s and women’s basketball games.
The Band's Mission
As a UWF tradition, the Argo Bands strive to instill pride in the University of West Florida students, faculty, alumni and fans by providing the highest quality of musical performance while creating an exciting atmosphere at university, athletics and community events.
