Admissions' Foundation Scholarships | Value: Amounts Vary
Through generous support from alumni, friends, corporations, foundations and others, UWF is able to offer various foundation scholarship opportunities. To apply, complete an application by March 1.
Several scholarships will also require the results of the FAFSA to be eligible. The vast majority of scholarships are awarded to students entering during the fall semester; however, scholarships are available for spring term entrants on a limited basis. Some scholarships are renewable and others are one-time awards.
Scholarship Consideration: To be considered for any award, first-year students should be admitted prior to December 1.
Renewal Criteria: Generally a 3.0 cumulative UWF GPA is required for renewal. If there is a higher minimum standard and/or credit hour requirement, it will be included in the award notification. Renewable UWF scholarships require continuous, full-time enrollment (excluding summer) at UWF with good academic standing. Once lost due to academics, a scholarship will not be reinstated if GPA improves.
Pensacola Pledge Scholars Scholarship | Value: up to $24,000 Over 4 Years
For freshmen students who attend a public high school in Escambia or Santa Rosa County planning to enroll at UWF the fall semester preceding their graduation from high school are eligible to apply. Students must have applied to the University and submitted an application for the Pensacola Pledge Scholarship by March 1 to be considered.
