Services

All currently enrolled students who pay the health fee are eligible for Student Health Services, whether you live on or off campus.

General Information

We are a primary care clinic. Services include women’s health, STI testing/treatment, diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, immunizations, health education and prevention.

Students

For students, there is no charge to be seen by one of our providers. However, there are fees associated with labs and nursing services. Many laboratory tests required for diagnosis and treatment can be performed at SHS at a reasonable cost. Student Health Services does not bill insurance for services provided, but we highly recommend that students have health insurance.

Making Appointments

Appointments can be made by calling 850.474.2172, Option 1. It is recommended that you call as early in the day as possible. You may also make appointments in person at Student Health Services (Building 960, Suite 106). Clinic services may be limited during semester breaks due to provider availability.

Class Absence Appointment Slips

Students who miss class due to an illness and have a scheduled appointment at Student Health Services (SHS) on the same day are entitled to a note stating they were seen in the clinic. Students will have one week from their appointment time to obtain a note in case they forget to ask for one on the day they are seen. No notes will be given to students after that time.

Labs

Labs will be drawn from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. Monday–Friday. Please call 850.474.2172, Option 1, to make an appointment. Unless you have a follow-up appointment, the nurses or providers will call you with results. Please allow two to five business days for your results. When you call for results, please be advised that we will require you to provide your Student ID number in order to verify your identity and protect your privacy.

Arriving Late/No-Shows / Cancellations/Rescheduling

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to ensure that you are checked in and have adequate time with a provider. If you are 5 minutes past your scheduled appointment time, you need to reschedule so that we may accommodate other students. Failure to show for a scheduled appointment will result in a $25 fee being charged to your student account. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call and cancel or reschedule your appointment to avoid this charge. If you are unable to keep your appointment or no longer need to be seen, please call within 24 hours to cancel your appointment so that we can offer this time to another student. We do our best to see you in a timely manner, however, you may experience a short wait if unexpected situations arise. Please consider this when scheduling your appointment so that it does not interfere with your class schedule.
