COVID-19 Update

The University of West Florida is working closely with the Florida Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control, to closely monitor COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Our goal is to protect the health and safety of the campus community by minimizing the potential spread of the virus and keep as many operations and services available to you as possible.
 
We appreciate your interest in Argo Adventure Kids Camp. Unfortunately, the decision to not host this year's program was made out of concern for the children's health and wellness. This was not an easy decision and we are saddened to not host your children this summer. Families who have already paid deposits will be contacted soon and issued a refund. 
 
We understand that implementing these changes with such limited notice will have broad impacts and will be challenging for many of you, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation. In the meantime, our staff is compiling a list of activities that you can participate in with your family at home. We look forward to Argo Adventure Kids Camp returning in 2021.

Argo Adventure Kids Camp Guide

Campers enjoy daily access to our 36-foot Climbing Wall and Aquatic Center, traditional and non-traditional sports, and daily enrichment activities. Campers will experience state of the art facilities, professional staffing, and a safe, enriching environment. Camp opens at 7:30 AM and pick-up is available until 5:30 PM. Notes

  • A $20 deposit is due at the time of registration for each child and each session registered for.
  • Deposits are not refundable or transferable.
  • Due to the popularity of our camp, we can no longer offer 3 day camps. Please join us for the full week this summer!
  • A buffet style lunch can be purchased from the Nautilus Market ($8/day) or your child can bring his/her own lunch. View the lunch provided menu: Nautilus Market Menu
  • Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) Employees- NFCU has offered to pay a supplement each week for each child of every employee dependent participating in AAKC. You will need to wait for the registration confirmation email before paying the remaining balance or you will not receive the NFCU registration supplement. Campers will receive a $40 supplement per week. 

Refund/Transfer Policy

  • A $20 deposit is due at the time of registration for each child and each session registered for. The deposit is applied towards the weekly rate.
  • Deposits are not refundable or transferable.
  • The remaining balance (amount due minus the deposit) is due by the Monday before the camp session begins.
Remaining Balance Refund/Transfer Policy
If the request to cancel enrollment is received...Refund/Transfer Amount:
at least 5 business days before the session begins 100% of the remaining balance
1 to 4 business days before the session begins 50% of the remaining balance
after the end of the business day (5:30pm) on Friday before the session begins no transfers/reimbursements will available

 


Camp Registration

Register Online

1. Register for one week at a time or the whole summer. Complete the online registration form. Registration beings March 1!

2. Complete the Individual Participant Release packet and return to argokids@uwf.edu for each child.

3. To save your child's spot, please pay the $20 deposit (not transferable or refundable) for each week you wish to have them attend camp.

4. To complete the registration process and ensure your spot, please make sure to pay the remaining balance (the weekly fee amount minus the deposit) by the Monday prior to the start of your desired camp session. Example: If your child is attending the week of June 1-5, the deposit is due at the time of registration and the final payment will be due by May 25.

Paying in Person or Mailing in Payment

*All deposits are final. The deposit will hold your child's spot for the week.

1. Payment can be made at check-in/check-out during camp hours in the HLS Lobby (Building 72).

2. Outside of camp hours, payment can be made in person at the Customer Service Desk in the HLS Facility (Building 72- downstairs).
