Shannon Ganley

Shannon is the Fiscal Specialist for Recreation and Wellness and has been with the department since September 2016. She manages and reports on all Recreation and Wellness budgets, including A&S, Revenue, and Foundation accounts. She also processes and assists with purchasing, travel, and HR paperwork for the department. Before she started working full-time with the department, she served in this same role for Counseling Services, the Student Health Center, Wellness, and Recreation, splitting her time between all areas. She got her start at UWF in February 2015 as the Graduate Program Assistant & Fiscal Coordinator for the Department of Nursing.

Shannon has worked in Higher Education since July 2006, holding many positions within the accounting field. Prior to coming to UWF, she served for 7 years as the Accounting Specialist for the Florida State University College of Education Dean's Office. In this role, she was responsible for all budgets within the Dean's units, as well as purchasing, inventory management, and travel. Before transferring to the Dean's Office, she was the Accounting Assistant for the Department of Sport Management.   

Shannon obtained her Associate of Arts degree at Tallahassee Community College in May 2003. She is currently enrolled as a student at UWF pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Professional Accounting. She plans to graduate in 2022 and hopes to become a Certified Public Accountant.
