Kugelman Honors Admissions

How Do Students Join Honors?

High-performing students who have submitted their UWF application to Undergraduate Admissions by Dec. 1 and who have the following GPA and test score qualifications are auto-invited and confirm whether or not they want to join:

  • 3.8+ GPA
  • 27+ ACT or 1260+ SAT

Eligible students receive an invitation to join the Kugelman Honors Program via the My Messages app in MyUWF. The invitation will have three options from which students can choose:

  • Join Honors (requires confirming admission to UWF first)
  • Join Honors and will be transferring in more than 45 credit hours to UWF (requires confirming admission to UWF first)
  • Decline Honors

Eligible transfer students who have a 3.8+ GPA will have the following three options from which to choose:

  • Join Honors and will be transferring in more than 45 credit hours to UWF (requires confirming admission to UWF first)
  • Join Honors and will be transferring in fewer than 45 credit hours to UWF (requires confirming admission to UWF first)
  • Decline Honors

Students must first confirm as a UWF student with Undergraduate Admissions, then accept or decline their invitation to join the Kugelmen Honors Program.

Invitations are sent in January; students have until May 1 to accept or decline.

Students who are interested in joining the program but did not receive an invitation are welcome to apply until May 1. The Kugelman Honors Program will make application decisions by June 1.
