Fraternal Excellence Program
The Fraternal Excellence Program serves to assess each fraternity and sorority chapter on the basic requirements of operations. The goal of Fraternal Excellence is to celebrate chapter success and achievement by highlighting accomplishments over the academic year. Fraternities and sororities are recognized for excellence in the following five categories: Academic Excellence, Ethical Leadership, Membership Development, Council and Community Engagement, and Service and Philanthropy.
Past Fraternal Excellence Award Winners
During this year, the Fraternal Excellence Award program was updated to a rubric model. Chapters were able to turn items in the categories of Academic Excellence, Service and Philanthropy, Ethical Leadership, Council & Community Engagement/Collaboration, and Membership Development.

During this year, the Fraternal Excellence Award program was updated to a new presentation model. Chapters were able to develop a presentation for a panel of judges highlighting their success in three categories: Membership Development and Experience, Campus Engagement, and Community Service and Philanthropy.
- Membership Development and Experience Award: Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc.
- Campus Engagement Award: Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc.
- Community Service and Philanthropy Award: Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
During this year, the Fraternal Excellence Award program was revamped and split into two parts, and a new rating award system was implemented. Based on the average of all five section scores in part one, chapters were given a star rating ranging from 5 stars, excellence, to 1 star, not meeting minimum standards. For part two chapters had the opportunity to nominate their own chapter or others to be recognized for excellence or innovation in specified areas.

Legacy Award
The Legacy Award was designed to honor the graduating seniors in our Fraternity & Sorority Community who have gone above and beyond being a leader in their chapter. These leaders have been involved on the council level, they have been involved in paving the way for new initiatives in Fraternity & Sorority Life at UWF, and they have served the greater campus as a Fraternal Leader involved in all aspects of campus life. Overall these leaders have left their mark on UWF, and their Legacy will be here for many years to come.
