Equity and Inclusion Grants
The Office of Equal Opportunity strives to create and support a diverse, equitable, and inclusive University community in which every individual can learn, work, and thrive. The Inclusive Excellence Grant Fund is established and supported by OEO to encourage new inclusive excellence initiatives and strengthen existing programs that support diversity, equity and inclusion.
Institutionalization of DEI on Campus Grants
Funding assistance is available to support a UWF department or office to facilitate institutionalization of diversity, equity and inclusion on campus.
- Any funding provided must comply with current university policies and procedures including purchasing, contracting and travel policies.
- To apply for funding support, complete the form below at least 4 weeks prior to the event.
- Funding requests are reviewed on a monthly basis and are considered through the lens of diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Decisions are usually made within two weeks of receipt of request.
Student Organization Programming Grants
Funding support is available for UWF registered student groups or organization's programs, events, or iniatives that are DEI focused.
- UWF student organizations can apply for up to $300 for DEI focused events and programs. We offer this funding for events that:
- Promote understanding or enhance knowledge of an diversity, equity, inclusion and culture;
- Facilitate bringing two or more cultures together;
- Events must be open to all UWF students and broadly promoted to the campus community.
- Any funding provided must comply with current university policies and procedures including purchasing, contracting and travel policies.
- To apply for funding support, complete the form below at least 4 weeks prior to the event
- Funding requests are reviewed on a monthly basis and are considered through the lens of diversity, equity and inclusion
- Decisions are usually made within two weeks of receipt of request
- Student organizations can only recieve funding once a semester
Faculty and Staff Travel Grants
Travel Grants have been established to support professional development that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the UWF. OEI has Opportunities for two full-time UWF faculty and staff to apply for travel grants to a multicultural/diversity conference of their choice.
- Maximum award through this program is $1000. Smaller requests are encouraged.
- Any funding provided must comply with current university purchasing, contracting, and travel policies.
- The grant application is open from August 1 - August 30
- Decisions will be announced by September 30
- Travel grants must be utilized by the end of the fiscal year

- Recipients of this award are required to give a 1-hour to 1 1/2 hour workshop to the campus community upon return from the conference.
