The Argo Pantry provides food to currently enrolled UWF students in need of assistance.
Effective June 1st: Food bags can be picked up at the Argo Central Door of the building. The pantry hours are every Monday, 11:00 am-2:00 pm. For additional assistance, please email email@example.com
Overcoming Food Insecurity
Recent studies show that food insecurity can be a significant barrier to academic success. Did you know that 30 percent of UWF students surveyed considered themselves food insecure? The USDA defines food insecurity as “limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe foods or limited or uncertain ability to acquire acceptable foods in socially acceptable ways." College students who experience food insecurity often struggle to support themselves while working, attending classes and dealing with other life issues. The Argo Pantry hopes to minimize food insecurity, allowing UWF students to focus on academic goals and progress toward degree completion.
