Dr. Brandon Frye
- Associate Vice President, Division of Academic Engagement and Student Affairs, Dean of Students
Dr. Brandon Frye began working at the University of West Florida (UWF) in February 2013 and currently serves as Associate Vice President and Dean of Students within the Division of Academic Engagement and Student Affairs. In this role he is responsible for the oversight and management of the following units: Dean of Students (Office of Student Case Management Services, the Office of Students Rights and Responsibilities, and the Campus Care Team), Student Involvement, University Commons and Event Services, and Housing and Residence Life. Dr. Frye serves as the Chief Conduct Officer for UWF. Additionally, he serves as Chair of the Campus Care Team (threat assessment/behavioral intervention) and is a Deputy Title IX Coordinator.
Prior to joining the staff at UWF he served as the Director of Student Development and Director of Student Conduct at Auburn University. Additionally, Dr. Frye worked at the University of Georgia as Assistant Dean of Students, acting Associate Dean of Students, Coordinator for Judicial Programs, and Advisor to fraternities.
Dr. Frye earned his Ph.D. in Student Affairs Administration from the University of Georgia (UGA) in 2009, his Master of Arts in Student Development from Appalachian State University (ASU) in 2001, and his Bachelor of Science in History/Secondary Education from ASU in 1999. His research interests include supervision, skill development, new professionals, student conduct administration, and assessment practices. He has also worked as a consultant to various educational institutions on the topics of higher education administration, student conduct, and organizational development.
Dr. Frye is a member of the Association of Student Conduct Administration (ASCA) and NASPA-Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education.
He is married to Jennifer M. Frye and they have three children.
