Meet the Staff LEAD Class of 2015-2016

Robin Anderson is currently the Space Manager in the Division of Business, Finance & Facilities. She began her UWF career in 1997 as an Engineering Technician in Facilities. Using her AutoCAD skills she maintained UWF’s building floor plans and campus maps. Robin became the UWF Space Manager in 2002. In her current position she documents building square footage, collects data on UWF personnel, updates room use codes, monitors utilization of classrooms, and manages UWF leases. Robin represents UWF by participating in Educational Plant Surveys conducted at other state institutions and serves on UWF Staff Senate as the Building 90 Senator. She volunteers at Pea Ridge Elementary where her daughter teaches fourth grade.

Megan has been working in Continuing Education for two years as a Program Coordinator. She most enjoys the beautiful oak trees, nature and wildlife found throughout the campus, as well as the small class sizes and personalized attention available to students at UWF. When she’s not at work you can find her in downtown Pensacola enjoying our great city or spending time at home with her two fur babies.

Aric is an Information Specialist for the Interlibrary Loan Department. He began working at the UWF library around 15 years ago. He received his B.S. from UWF in 2006. He has lived in Pensacola for 22 years and has served in the U.S. Navy.

LaBratta has been employed at UWF for three years. She is a Human Resources Specialist in the Human Resource Department where she is responsible for training coordination and performance evaluations. She likes networking and interacting with others at the university the most. She graduated from William Carey College with a Master’s in Business Administration (M.B.A.). In addition, she honorably served in the United States Army from 2004 – 2011 and ended active service as an Operation Enduring Freedom veteran. Her outside interest is serving in the Army Reserves, in which she has 14 years of service.

As the Coordinator for Building and Grounds Management, Jeff oversees campus grounds maintenance and landscaping contractors, pest control contractors and handles various projects for Facilities. What he likes most about UWF are the talented people he gets to work with on a daily basis – he learns something every day he comes to work. Away from work, he loves going to concerts, tending his garden and making a mean pepper jelly!

Kathy is the Program Manager at the Japan Center/Japan House and joined that organization shortly after moving back to Pensacola in 2006. Previous work experience includes 10+ years as Assistant to the Director of the Columbus State University Center for Quality Teaching and Learning in Columbus, GA.

She enjoys the beach and boating with her husband of 39 years, frequent visits by their children and grandchildren and sharing meals and surrogate mom/dad time with local military personnel who live in the neighborhood. Her favorite thing about UWF is the daily interaction with international students and working with members of the local Japanese community who support UWF sponsored international events and programs.

Dacia works for the Division of Academic Affairs as a Data Analyst. Her career started at UWF with Enrollment Affairs as a Business Analyst supporting the Banner implementation project. The transition to Academic Affairs has allowed her to utilize her previous knowledge and skills from Enrollment Affairs which have since been expanded to include a more in depth and big picture perspective of the university.

In her spare time, Dacia enjoys reading, running, spending time with her fiancée, going to the beach and playing with her Golden Retriever. Dacia prides herself in her green thumb and enjoys growing and preparing foods from her organic garden.

Christophe is a native of Belgium and first came to UWF as an international student majoring in Computer Information Systems. After earning his B.S. and M.Ed. from UWF, Christophe worked several years for Academic Affairs before becoming Data Analyst for Institutional Research. Interacting with students on UWF’s beautiful campus is the highlight of his workday. In his off-time, he enjoys the local area’s waters with his wife and three young children.

Born and raised just outside of Boston, Massachusetts, she relocated to Pensacola, Florida in 2010. Tired of the snow and in search of sunny weather and sandy beaches, she decided to pursue a Master of Education degree at UWF. Not knowing a single person in the area, she says that UWF provided her with a home away from home. She has now received both a Masters and Specialist Degree and is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree. When not working as the Associate Director of Financial Aid, studying or writing papers, you can find her outside enjoying the beach or the downtown atmosphere.

Cindy has worked at UWF since 2000, completed her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 2002, then her Master’s degree in ETMS, IT in 2005. She is a Coordinator in the Academic Technology Center. When the ATC was formed in 2005, she was hired to serve as the liaison/contact for the FWB Campus. She is now a Coordinator, supporting faculty with the design, development and implementation of quality online/blended courses at UWF.

She loves working with faculty and colleagues in ATC. She says she is blessed to work at UWF and learn something new every day. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her dogs, boyfriend and remodeling her house, which she purchased in 2001.

Anamarie is an Administrative Specialist in Facilities Development and Operations. She began working at UWF in 2013. During this time she’s had the privilege of working with campus leadership on various projects and presenting with the Florida Small Business Development Center. She most enjoys the beautiful campus and opportunity for growth UWF offers the Greater Pensacola area.

Anamarie is an avid runner and loves surfing. She is active in her church volunteering with the children’s ministry and serving as a women’s discipleship leader. She considers her marriage and two children her greatest successes.

Lisa is currently the Administrative Specialist in the Career Services Department, and has been with UWF for almost two years. She loves the positive energy on campus , and the opportunities for growth and learning that are literally behind every door. She holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Elmhurst College and a M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. Born and raised in suburban Chicagoland, Lisa has lived in Santa Rosa County for the past 11 years and enjoys spending time with family, traveling and going to the beautiful beaches along the Emerald Coast.

Pamela works as the Complete Florida Plus Program Coordinator 2 in Library Dev./Services located in Gainesville, Florida. As a non-Pensacola employee, she is part of the Florida Virtual Campus, which UWF acquired in January 2015. She holds a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Florida and a Master of Library Science from Florida State University. She is a member of the American Library Association, Alachua Astronomy Club and the Alachua Audubon Society.

She hopes that her experience as a “virtual” employee will be useful for innovating effective methods of communication between students, staff and leadership. She sees LEAD as an opportunity to become an integral part of UWF leadership training and personally connecting with the people who makes this a great place to work.

Melissa is a UWF alumna (B.A., International Studies and Communication Arts/Journalism) with a background in marketing, editing and design. As the Marketing and Technology Coordinator for University Commons and Student Involvement, she assists the department and student organizations with their marketing efforts, including project plans and design work. She is a member the Pensacola Young Professionals and the Pensacola Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association. Her interests include music, organization, and personal and professional growth.

Amy is the MBA Coordinator and earned her MBA from UWF in 2006. She began her career at UWF in 2012 as a Graduate Admissions Coordinator and then joined the MBA Program in 2015. She enjoys anything that keeps her happy and outdoors! UWF is committed to offerings its students the best education and all around learning experience needed to be successful in today’s ever-changing work, and she is proud to be part of the team.

Kilty is an Office Specialist in the College of Business Education Center, Dean’s Office. She first came to UWF in October, 2003, to work at the Small Business Development Center and made the jump to the COB Dean’s office in October, 2013.

Kilty enjoys working at UWF because of the opportunity to help students work toward their goals and the friendly and supportive staff. When not at work, you will find Kilty sewing for grandchildren or responding to emergencies in her home town of Lillian, Alabama where she has been a volunteer firefighter/first responder since 2011.
