The University of West Florida is comprised of six divisions which manage the operations of the institution as well as its direct support organizations.
Division of Academic Affairs
The Division of Academic Affairs functions as the primary coordinating unit for academic programs and academic support operations. The division coordinates the allocation of instructional and research funds and other resources, works to improve the quality of instruction, correlates the evaluation of instructions, and establishes policy on faculty appointment, evaluation, promotion and tenure.
Division of Academic Engagement
The Division of Academic Engagement supports students as they make the journey to graduation and entry-level employment. The division houses innovative student retention initiatives, unique high-impact learning programs, and co-curricular support for career readiness and success.
Division of Enrollment and Student Affairs
The Division of Enrollment and Student Affairs oversees student recruitment, admissions and strategic graduation initiatives, student life programs and high-quality services that support student success.
Division of Finance and Administration
The mission of the Division of Finance and Administration is to provide, develop and enhance essential internal services and operations of the University. In addition, the division is responsible for advancing an environment and infrastructure that welcomes and encourages external strategic partnerships. Finance and Administration oversees the budget and financial planning, business and auxiliary services, Facilities Development and Operations, Financial Services, Human Resources, Procurement, and Environmental Health and Safety. The division is also responsible for oversight of UWF Business Enterprises, Inc., a direct support organization of the institution.
Division of Research and Strategic Innovation
The Division of Research and Strategic Innovation at the University of West Florida advances the state’s economy and strengthens its workforce by nurturing and applying innovative ideas in funded research, scholarship, business development, strategic partnerships and outreach. Our team of big-thinkers, business experts and storytellers strives to provide solutions that make a lasting, positive impact on the social, economic and technological landscape in the communities we serve.
Division of University Advancement
The Division of University Advancement is responsible for development, alumni relations and the UWF Foundation, Inc. In addition, the division houses the UWF Historic Trust, which is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting the history of Northwest Florida as well as the Pensacola Museum of Art. The division also oversees the efforts of WUWF Public Media, which creates, acquires and distributes audio and video content through broadcast, web and community outreach.
