An associate member (sometimes referred to as a "pledge") is the title given to someone who has accepted a bid to become inducted into the sorority. One remains an associate member for an entire semester, and it is during this time that one learns what it means to be a Sister of Zeta Psi Eta. An associate member is officially deemed a Sister during the Initiation, which occurs at the end of each semester.
