NOTE: The words "signon" and "user-id" both refer to the same thing.
NEW SIGNON FILED
Enter a new user-id in this field to copy all or a portion of an existing user-id’s transactions to the new user-id.
RESET
Enter ‘PAS’ to reset the user-id’s password to be the same as their user-id.
Enter ‘PIN’ to generate a new pin number for the user-id.
PSED CNTR
Used to keep track of how many times the user-id has successfully accessed PMEN.
TRAN-ID
Use this field to display all user-ids who have access to a particular transaction.
NEW TRAN-ID
Enter a new transaction in this field to give access to the new transaction to all or a portion of the list of user-ids for an existing transaction (TRAN-ID field).
PSWD DATE
The date the password was last changed. It is used to control when a user should change his/her password.
INV CNTR
Captures the number of times a user has attempted access to their account with an invalid password. When the number reaches 10, the account is locked and the password must be reset.
U Column
Update control field. This field, in conjunction with the copy or update function, informs the program which items to include or exclude, and what to put in the manager code. Valid codes are as follows:
N – Bypass this entry when copying user-ids or transactions
D – Delete this entry (not valid when copying)
M – Make this user-id a manager for this transaction
O – Make this user-id the owner of this transaction
S – Make this user-id a supervisor for this transaction
? – Remove the manager code from this transaction
DP Column
The department code assigned to this transaction.
L Column
The numeric value entered in this field determines the user-id’s security level. The security level has ranges of values as follows:
0 - A value of zero means that this user-id may only display information with this transaction.
1 thru 9 – A value greater than zero means the user-id may update data elements on this transaction that have been coded with a level less than or equal to this level.
M Column
The manager code (M, O, S, or blank) assigned to this transaction.
DATEUP
Date this transaction entry was last updated. Use the flip key (F5) to view the user-id which last updated this entry.
