a. Royal blue and Kelly green. The blue of the sky and the green of the sea have been associated with the university since its establishment in 1963.
What is the UWF mascot?
a. The Argonaut. The mascot, chosen originally in 1967 by the charter class and reaffirmed by the students in 1986, honors the ancient questors of Greek legend, Jason and the Argonauts. The Argonauts were a band of warriors who accompanied Jason ont he search for the fabled Golden Fleece. Among their ranks were Castor and Pollux (the Greek gods of athleticism and seafarers), Hercules and Atalanta.

a. The tours are offered by the Admissions Department, Monday through Friday, weather permitting, at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm CST, starting at Hopkins Hall, Building 18, Lot H. If you are unable to arrive at that time, you may contact Admissions at 850-474-2230 to schedule a tour at an alternate time.
