The UWF Web Presence template system is for official University of West Florida sites only. UWF colleges, schools, academic departments and all university administrative offices must use the system, unless granted an exception from the Web Advisory Committee. Personal Web pages maintained by faculty, staff or students (including student organizations) are not required to use this system.
Sites housed at the university for private partnerships or national organizations should not use the templates. Electronic publications, newsletters and journals are not required to use the look and feel. The Web Presence Team handles all requests for the templates and reserves the right to approve or deny use as appropriate.
All or portions of the university’s Web identity have been copyright
protected. E-mail webpresence@uwf.edu for
more information.
How can my department gain access to the templates?
Before departmental Web developers are granted access to the official template files, they are asked to become familiar with the information contained in this Web Presence site and become "certified" through the Web Presence Training Program. Anyone wishing to use the templates must go through the training program. Please do not copy template files for other parties. Do not attempt to create your own, extract portions of or reverse engineer the templates. A variety of template styles are available (see Template Options in the Web Presence Visual Style Guide). If you have a need for a modified template version, contact the Web Presence Team to discuss your situation. In requesting the templates you are agreeing to participate in a review and approval process conducted by the Web Presence Team.
