Who is responsible for the content of university Web sites?

the university homepage (uwf.edu). Individual Web masters within
UWF colleges, divisions and departments are responsible for
the content on their sites.
Where can I get photos and art?
University Marketing and Creative Services maintains a limited library of campus scenes, faculty and staff portraits and general university images. A university photographer is also available to take photos if needed. For more information, contact John Blackie at 474-2505 or e-mail jblackie@uwf.edu.
How do I know if I am in compliance?
The Web Presence Team reviews sites for design and technical compatibility. If you indicate a desire for an editorial review, an editor will check your text for style, grammar and accuracy. In all cases, your text should follow the conventions in the University’s Editorial Style Guide. From the design perspective, team members will check for things like the proper use of type (typographic style sheets are built into the template), color, spacing and the overall appearance of the site. The design review may also offer suggestions for photos and organization, but will not alter the general content of the page. This review process is intended to be helpful and is performed with the university’s overall Web Presence in mind.
The technical review checks to make sure the template system is used. Links are spot-checked to make sure there are no dead ends for the user. Source code will be checked to ensure the critical parts of the template are maintained. This review is always done before a site goes live and can be done at different stages of progress as the site is being built and questions arise. Once final approval is given, the site can go live.
Please be aware that the review will take time. The Web Presence Team has many other commitments, but will do their best to complete your review in a timely manner.
