The following university Web Content Standards should be followed when developing content for any official UWF Web site, unless an exception has been granted by the Web Advisory Committee.
Standards for All
- All sites must meet the standards outlined in the Checklist for Web Site Compliance (PDF).
- Web site address should be consistent and logical for end users. Ex: uwf.edu/philosophy, not uwf.edu/logos
- All sites must have department name, primary address, phone number, e-mail address, link to campus map and Text Only link in the footer area of each page.
- All Web pages must include a link back to uwf.edu. This standard is met by the UWF logo included in the top, left hand corner of each template.
- Content that is soley of interest to internal audiences should not be represented on external Web sites.
- The color blue should only be used for links and clickable items. Green and grey are recommended for headlines and subtitles.
- In order to maintain consistency, departments should use the standardized wording for required and optional navigation links outlined in the sections below.
