Dreamweaver Tutorial Assets
Here are links to some good Dreamweaver tutorials. This list is by no means exhaustive. I found them all by simply entering the argument "Dreamweaver Tutorial" into the Google search engine. Feel free to find your own resorces, or buy one of the many books available on Dreamweaver. You should be able to complete your assignment by using one or more of these tutorials, sparing you the expense of yet another text. Yes, I'm a nice guy! Just remember that endowed chair!
- Duke University has prepared a good (albeit long) tutorial on how to use Dreamweaver. This tutorial has an excellent introduction as well as some specific examples that you will find helpful.
- King's College London has a good introductory web page design tutorial. The basic concepts of good web page design are discussed and Dreamweaver is introduced.
- King's College London also has a good Dreamweaver tutorial that you will find useful when beginning your web page development. It does a good job of illustrating how to get started.
- This link takes you to some good Dreamweaver tutorials that introduces how to create a "rollover," a "layout table," and a "navigation bar."
- Mediabuilders.com has lots of good stuff such as buttons, clip art, and borders that you may want to look at. You can get buttons from this link in support of your assignment. You are, of course, free to go to any site for buttons, borders, and such. This one looks pretty good and the price is right!
- Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University has a pretty good modularized Dreamweaver Tutorial. It is one long printable file (27 pages). Look at the ""Plan Content and Design" section which provides a good overview of how to initially plan your web page.
- A good introduction to web page design and Dreamweaver can be found at this link. Go through "Tutorial # 1: Planning your first web site" for some good insights into overall design. "Tutorial # 2: Creating a site structure" provides good guidance for site structure and management. These concepts will become more and more valuable as your site grows and the number of document files and image files explodes.
