Volunteer UWF! Community Partner Agencies
Are an exclusive group of local nonprofit agencies that collaborate with the university on providing meaningful service experiences and fulfilling community needs.

Community Partner Agencies . . .
•Are important friends of UWF
•Must be either a non-profit organization, a government agency, a faith-based organization, health care institution, or a K-20 educational institution
•Attend Volunteer Fairs, workshops and Volunteer UWF! events annually
•Communicate with Volunteer UWF! Regularly
•Complete all necessary paperwork and evaluations
•Use and maintain current information in JasonQuest

Community Partner Agencies should give UWF students valuable learning experiences including . . .
•An orientation to their organization’s mission, social issue, and/or the specific service experience
•Any specific training required to complete the service experience
•Supervision on-site
•Any necessary tools to do the job
•A safe experience and an environment free of discrimination
•An opportunity to meet a mentor in the field
•Access to valuable service experiences –
(UWF students are not simply fundraisers; students should have direct service experiences)
•Prompt response to UWF inquiries (from students, Volunteer UWF!, faculty, staff, administration, etc.)

Volunteer UWF! provides community partner agencies with. . .
•Access to great students who are ready to learn from you and help your organization
•Invitations to on-campus events promoting your service opportunities
•Unlimited access to JasonQuest and JasonQuest support
•Access to academic-based service opportunity partnerships & faculty who are planning to implement service-learning into their courses
•New ways to promote service opportunities through UWF campus and local media sources
•Access to UWF Community Work Study students

Recruiting UWF Students/Alumni

There are several ways that your organization can use Career Services/Volunteer UWF! to recruit capable qualified UWF students/alumni to fill your service and volunteerism as well as other staffing needs.

JasonQuest Online Job Listings

JasonQuest is an online database system containing student and employer profiles. JasonQuest allows employers/agencies to post positions (non-paid: one time and recurring volunteer, community work-study, service learning, field study, other academic-based service, and paid: full-time, part-time, seasonal, internships, Cooperative Education, other Experiential Learning opportunities), schedule on-campus interviews, and register for important career events. Open positions will only be posted through our JasonQuest system and are available to students/alumni 24 hours a day. Resumes can be received via your JasonQuest account or sent to your e-mail. Registration and postings are absolutely free! JasonQuest may be accessed through our websites at uwf.edu/volunteer and uwf.edu/career (click on “Employer/Agency section”).

*Once you create your profile, Career Services will activate your account so you can post jobs and register for events. Accounts are activated throughout our regular business hours M-F, 8-5pm central time. There may be a 24-48 hour delay in activation from the pending to active status.

Career Services and Volunteer UWF! Events

Career Services & Volunteer UWF! Events are great ways to network with students and establish a presence on campus. Event registration is also handled through JasonQuest under the “Career Events” tab. A Career Services/Volunteer UWF! staff member must approve your registration before an invoice will be automatically sent to you.

Please speak with Tiffany Jurey if you are interested in participating/hosting your own service or volunteerism related event. We are always eager to partner with our agencies on service and volunteerism events.
