Our Mission
is to serve our wounded and eligible disabled military veterans by facilitating the path to a Master's degree in Social Work at the University of West Florida.

Who are we?
We are a consortium from the Florida panhandle which includes Workforce Escarosa, Inc., Workforce Development Board of Okaloosa and Walton counties, and the University of West Florida. Hometown Heroes Reach Out is sponsored by the University of West Florida and funded by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration.

Since our country’s founding, some 48 million men and women have served in the United States military. Roughly half of them are alive today. Not every veteran has known the full wrath of battle, but every veteran has contributed to this nation and to the advance of human freedom. This nation owes each its permanent gratitude.

-Florida Congressman Jeff Miller
