View 2008/2009 RAD Class Calendar

R.A.D. is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. The R.A.D. System is a comprehensive, course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. R.A.D. is not a Martial Arts program. Our courses are taught by nationally certified R.A.D. Instructors and provide each student with a workbook/reference manual. This manual outlines the entire Physical Defense Program for reference and continuous personal growth, and is the key to our free lifetime return and practice policy for R.A.D. graduates.

UWF is proud to offer this program to our Students, Faculty, Staff and the Community. Classes are limited to 10 people.

RAD teaches you to defend yourself- stop depending on others!

RAD is only 12 hours long, with the last 3 hours as a voluntary simulation!

RAD teaches you to recognize dangerous situations. This could save your life.

You can come back to practice for free at any RAD program nationwide and Canada .

**All fees are used for copying costs and equipment replacement for the RAD program**

There is minimum mandatory attendance of six (6) participants otherwise the class will be cancelled. Please register online below or by calling and/or emailing the Crime Prevention Officer at 474-3274 or crimeprevention@uwf.edu.

HOW TO ATTEND:

1. Register Online OR Register by calling/emailing the UWF Police Department's Crime Prevention Unit.  Contact the Crime Prevention Officer at 474-3274 or crimeprevention@uwf.edu.

2. If this is your first class go to the Cashiers Office in Building 20E to pay the fee. Please state that you are paying for the RAD class.

3. If you are a UWF you may register on the University Training Schedule from Human Resources.
   

RAD's lifetime Return and Practice Policy: Once you complete a RAD course, you can attend any RAD course for free anywhere in the U.S. or Canada with your Student Manual!
