· The standard display of University Events, Visitor Welcomes, and other public relations messages will be in the following format:
· Line One: Name of Event
· Line Two: Date (month/day), Start Time
· Line Three: Locations (bldg. #)
· All messages that display content of any type excluding the UWF logo, and graphics that may introduce displayed content, will not scroll but instead flash (on fastest mode) to screen and remain held motionless for five seconds. If the message content is too large for one screen after being edited by the Welcome Center staff, the staff will adjust the message format to fit information on the fewest possible number of screens with a maximum of four messages being displayed at 1.5 seconds each.
· Editing: Choice of upper and lower case fonts is preferable, and non-bolded text can be used for longer words. We are limited to three lines, eight to ten letters per line depending on font used.
· UWF shell display, graphics, time and temperature (fillers) will be displayed after entire sequence of messages instead of between individual messages. The fillers should also flash to screen or scroll to screen on fasted mode.
· All Marquee information will use the Welcome Center telephone number
474-3000 as a point of contact for more information. The number will be listed
at the end of a sequence. This helps to provide one reoccurring number that
is easily recognizable for drivers. This also helps to set a criterion of
what messages will be displayed on the marquee. The Welcome Center staff will
only display messages that they personally have adequate information for and
point of contact numbers to refer customers to, as well as, provide customers
with accurate information. Information should be given to Welcome Center staff
approximately two weeks prior the event date.
