Events enable AIS to expand both educationally and in diversity. Meetings are regularly scheduled at least four times a semester and host a guest speaker that is successful within the field of MIS. On occasion, AIS will participate in fund raising opportunities or membership activities to expand our organization. AIS also provides tutoring sessions for MIS related classes to help current students succeed.
Meetings are welcome to all members and nonmembers within all degree majors and areas of study. Please contact AIS (firstname.lastname@example.org) to propose an event or to suggest a speaker. Also, meetings are a wonderful way to build a professional network with your peers and with professionals within the community. Short, one hour meetings allow others to gain an insight into the problems and opportunities that are faced by MIS related environments. Meetings are casual in nature and students are encouraged to ask one-on-one questions with the speaker. Food and drinks are always provided!
