UWF COLLEGE OF BUSINESS AACSB ACCREDITATION RENEWED
PENSACOLA - The University of West Florida College of Business has achieved accreditation renewal for its undergraduate business degree programs and its graduate MBA and masters in accountancy from AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB is the premier accreditation agency for business schools. Only 15 percent of business schools internationally have achieved AACSB accreditation. UWF College of Business is the only AACSB accredited business school in Northwest Florida.
"AACSB International accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools, worldwide," said Ed Ranelli, dean for the College of Business. "Institutions that earn accreditation confirm their commitment to quality and continuous improvement through a rigorous and comprehensive peer review process. AACSB International accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education."
To achieve accreditation, business programs must satisfy the expectations of a wide range of quality standards relating to the college's mission and strategic management of resources; the characteristics of its students and the composition, academic and professional qualifications of its faculty; and the interactions of faculty and students in the educational process and achievement of learning goals in degree programs.
AACSB International is an association of more than 1,100 educational institutions, businesses and other organizations in 70 countries that are dedicated to the advancement of business education worldwide. AACSB International is the longest serving and largest global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees in business and accounting.
