ACADEMIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDINGS

Bldgs 10, 31, 36, 51 & 52 Classroom Technology Upgrades: A joint initiative with ITS, this project, up for bids, involves upgrading the infrastructure of 8 general purpose classrooms to accommodate high tech equipment. The classrooms to be included in this project are: 10: 102 & 104; 32: 504; 36: 174 & 175; 51: 148 & 165, and 52: 163. The draft Request For Quotes has been completed and is in review. Bldg 13, Second Floor: Upgrade of Interior Signage per ADA requirements. Purchase Requisition has been submitted. Projected completion date: April 30, 2004. Contact Robin Anderson at X3427, robina@uwf.edu. Vendor: APCO Signage. UWF Maintenance to install.

Building 13 and 40 Roof Drain Repairs: This project will repair deficiencies in the roof and storm drain systems for each building. Project is currently advertised to bid. Bldg 21: Carpet will be replaced in the Housing and Student Services areas. Work to begin May 3rd with completion in four days. Contact Dennis Solis x2760, dsolis@uwf.edu. Contractor: Jones Flooring.

Bldg 70 Voice Data Rewire: The work included the premise wiring upgrade for the entire building. Construction will be complete by April 14. Contact Chuck Summers x3139, csummers@uwf.edu or Myles Sampson X7344, msampson@uwf.edu. Contractor: MCS of Tampa.

Bldg 77, ATC Lab: Modular furniture contractor is behind schedule. Temporary Certificate of Occupancy has been obtained for user occupancy. Completion date has been bumped up to April 16. Contact Chuck Summers x3139, csummers@uwf.edu. Contractor: ESA South

Bldg. 85/86 IAQ Corrections: This primarily outside project involves removal of existing guttering and roof vents, sealing attic space with insulation, and reinstalling transfer grilles and gutters. Building 207 (Gazebo near 54): Structural repairs and roofing are complete. UWF Facilities Maintenance staff will commence pressure washing and painting when weather permits. Health, Leisure & Sports Facility: Erection of structural steel has started while work on concrete foundations, slabs and masonry continues; A REMINDER -Handicapped parking for the natatorium has been relocated to east of building 54 for the duration of construction. Oak Grove parking is for contractors only. Project is on schedule with project completion scheduled for January 2005. International House: The overall facility is approximately 92% complete with interior painting, ceilings and other finish work being installed at this time. Exterior site work is being accomplished and paving work is complete. Carpeting should be installed the last week in April. Substantial completion date scheduled for May 12, 2004. CAMPUS GROUNDS, UTILITIES & MISC.:

Athletic Sports Complex Fencing Project: Project consists of providing new perimeter fencing around this complex to control access and vandals from damaging the various playing fields. All work is completed with exception of some minor punch-list items. All work should be completed by April 15, 2004. Contact Roger E. Rowe at x3117 or rrowe@uwf.edu for more info. Barrier Gate Lots 13 & 23: A barrier gate will be constructed between lots 13 & 23 (Tennis Courts) the week of April 19. This gate will limit access between parking lots to Trolleys and other authorized vehicles. Contact Terri Perry at X2006, tperry@uwf.edu or Myles Sampson at X7344, msampson@uwf.edu.

Building 40 Fuel Tank Replacement: This project will install a new above ground fuel storage tank for the campus heating system and remove two existing underground fuel tanks. Project is scheduled to begin in April. Contact Ron Northrup, x2040, rnorthru@uwf.edu, Contractor: Fueling Components Inc.

Chilled Water and Hot Water Piping Replacement Phase II & III: Project replaces current underground central hot and chilled water piping to buildings served by the central plant. Current work is occurring in several areas related to completing building connections to new system. Contact Dick Walter at x2170 or rwalter@uwf.edu. Contractor: Bayou Mechanical, Inc.

Pelican Park 2004 Improvements: A new ticket booth, marketing booth and corporate boxes will be installed as temporary structures at Pelican Park prior to the 2004 season. Some fencing, paving, electrical/data and other miscellaneous work will also be accomplished. Contact Roger E. Rowe, rrowe@uwf.edu at 3117 for more info.

Sidewalk Repairs: Project consists of replacing sections of concrete walkway across campus that present safety hazards. Anticipate construction beginning approximately 4/12/04 with completion by first week in May. Contact Earl Smith X2001, esmith@uwf.edu, or Myles Sampson X7344, msampson@uwf.edu.

Soccer Field Press Box and Dugouts: The press box structure is complete and the dugouts are approx. 25% complete. These wood structures are located on the south side of the Track and Soccer Field Complex. Final Inspection scheduled the week of May 1, 2004. Contact Roger E. Thompson Bayou Dock: Specifications are currently being written to construct a dock at Thompson's Bayou for the R/V Nautilus. Once a contractor is selected, DEP approval and permitting will be required. Estimated construction is planned for late Summer 2004. Contact Glenda Mayo at X2901, gmayo@uwf.edu.

WEST FLORIDA HISTORIC PRESERVATION, INC. PROJECTS

ACADEMIC AND HISTORICAL BUILDINGS

Village-Wide Repairs: Project underway. $334,000 to repair wood, paint and other miscellaneous repairs/restorations for the entire Pensacola Village Complex. Wescon is GC. Contact Pat Paterson x595.5985, hpaterso@uwf.edu.

Museum of Commerce Ladies Restroom Upgrades: Project to begin April 5, with 90 day construction time. Project will double the capacity of the ladies room and make it ADA compliant. Wescon is Project Manager. Contact Pat Paterson x595.5985, hpaterso@uwf.edu.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

The Project Request Form is available online at: http://uwf.edu/AEservices/aesforms.htm. Requestors will be contacted with an estimate and written Scope of Work. All renovations to space will be coordinated by a project manager and completed by outside contractors. Facilities Management focus is on preventative maintenance.
