Mission and Vision. The mission of the Division of University Affairs is to provide strategic outreach functions and essential internal services that enable the basic operations of the University and support the other divisions of the University. The specific services in this wide mission include Business and Auxiliary Services, Business Processes Improvement, Environmental Health and Safety, Facilities Management, Facilities Planning and Construction, Financial Affairs, General Counsel, Governmental Relations, Human Resources, Informal Dispute Resolution, Information Technology Services, Institutional Research, Parking and Transportation, Police, Procurement and Contracts, and WUWF Public Media.
Vision. The vision of University Affairs is to enable UWF’s vision of being the best regional comprehensive university in America by displaying best practices in university administration.
History. The Division of University Affairs was created by President Cavanaugh in September 2007 through a reorganization of the previous President’s and Administrative Affairs divisions, designed to improve the efficiency of university operations. In this reorganization, the position of Vice President for Administrative Affairs was retired. President Cavanaugh assigned the responsibility for overseeing the newly merged operations to Executive Vice President Hal White, who serves as Chief Operating Officer for the university.
