The UWF TRiO/Student Support Services Program offers a grant to qualified students. An application is available here.
In order to retain a spot in the UWF TRiO program, students must collect and submit at least 250 points each fall and spring semester. Points are earned by activities such as meeting with your advisor, completing and submitting a career portfolio, or attending TRiO events. Detailed information regarding the point system can be found here.
One avenue for collecting points is to complete a career portfolio. A career portfolio is an excellent way to showcase your achievements. A completed portfolio is an excellent tool to show potential employers or graduate school admissions. TRiO students may find help and information for creating a portfolio here.
The UWF chapter of the Chi Alpha Epsilon (XAE) Honor Society recognizes the academic excellence of students from diverse backgrounds. XAE promotes cotinued high standards, increased communication, and to honor the achievements of its' members. Additional information about XAE can be found here.
