Abstract

As part of a larger study, a total of 76 Industrial/Organizational (I/O) faculty in graduate programs in the United States and Canada responded to a survey on instructional tools used in personnel selection coursework. The results indicated that the majority of instructors (68%) adopted one of three textbooks: Cascio's Applied Psychology in Personnel Management, Gatewood and Field's Human Resource Selection, and Muchinsky's Psychology Applied to Work. Implications for I/O graduate training are discussed.
