Student Success Programs are designed to help participants to be successful college students and assist with any issues participants may have during their time at UWF. Each participant will be assigned a Success Counselor to assist students in meeting their individual goals and successfully complete a bachelorette degree.

Book Loan Library - The Student Success Programs has an in-house Book Library located in Bldg 18 Room 146B; the Book Library is designed to assist with the student’s book needs by loaning the books out through what our program calls “The Borrow-A-Book Program” whereby upon signing an agreement the student may borrow a text book(s) for the full semester and return the book(s) upon completion of the class. To accommodate the student needs as best possible, the Student Success Programs make book purchases each semester or perhaps SSP will pay the book rental fee for the student. The Learning Center - The Learning Center provides free tutorial assistance and academic support services to all students, including distance learners, enrolled at the University of West Florida. TRiO Student Support Services Program - The Support Services Program is a federally funded TRiO Program which provides academic support for eligible university students. The program serves 250 low income, first generation college students (students whose parents or guardian have not completed a bachelor's degree), and students with disabilities. Mentoring Program -
The Mentoring Program is designed to pair University of West Florida students with upper-level students and professionals who advise and direct students on the path to success in their chosen field. To find out more about Mentoring contact a Success Counselor.
Brother-to-Brother - The Brother-to-Brother Program was developed to increase retention, and graduation among UWF's African American, Latino, and Hispanic male student population.To find out more about Brother-to-Brother contact Kismet Rideau at 474-3487.
