UWF's
beautiful campus is surrounded by nature, not sidewalks and buildings. The
campus is 1,600 acres of hills and woodlands and is designated as a nature
preserve. Explore the campus on the Edward Ball Nature Trail Boardwalk or
in the Baars-Firestone Wildlife Sanctuary. Or unearth the past, including
artifacts from nearby shipwrecks, in the Margaret
Jane Smith Archaeology Building .
On the main Pensacola campus, some of the facilities include an indoor olympic-size swimming pool, lighted intramural fields, gym, computer labs, science labs, and art labs. A trolley service provides easy transportation on campus to nearly every location for free. Outside of the main Pensacola campus, UWF has two satellite campuses: Fort Walton Beach and a newly opened complex in historic downtown Pensacola.
