...[T]he modern Argonaut bearer [is] on a continuing mission to explore strange new worlds, be they microscopic or astronomical, to seek out new life and new civilizations, be they ancient or modern, and to boldly go where no one—or no university—has gone before.
President John C. Cavanaugh in his Inaugural Address
Despite the large campus and numerous academic programs, UWF faculty and staff strive to retain a personal touch with their students. The administration's open door policy is a delightful surprise to new students.
It's easy to get involved at UWF, particularly as an aspiring Student Affairs professional. The University Commons and Student Activities Office has over 100 registered student and recreation organizations. These organizations offer students an opportunity to expand their experience and practice leadership skills to prepare for the world after college.
