Michael Kordell, 23, and Tracy Lawson, 19, have one of the best views at the University of West Florida. The two physics seniors work in a laser lab on the top floor of the new School of Science and Engineering. Their favorite part about the new building - the windows. But they also love the space...

Leo ter Haar, the University of West Florida's director of science and technology, guides a tour on an island in Samoa. Overhead, birds are calling and the Blue Angels are rumbling. Ter Haar chases an emu from the side of a lake into the woods. Then he jumps off a cliff. "If you start to get queasy, stand against the wall," he warns.
