—A new iBook, "Developing iPhone Applications for iOS4" was recently released for download in 32 countries, available through iTunes. This book, authored by Laura J. White, Assistant Professor and Director of Software Engineering in the computer science department, and Janusz Chudzynski, graduate of UWF and coordinator in the Academic Technology Center, contains an introduction to iPhone programming, along with several fun projects through which the reader will learn about iPhone programming, while actually developing applications (apps).

Both individuals have taught iPhone/iPad programming at UWF, and have collaborated on numerous apps available for download from the iTunes App Store, including the free UWF Dining App. Several of their students who have taken the UWF iPhone Programming course also now have apps available for download from the iTunes App Store. The dynamic duo is already working on their next iBook that will be titled "Developing iOS 5 Applications." It will contain projects for developing both iPhone and iPad apps using iOS 5. Since Chudzynski has a passion for researching and learning new technologies, he is also currently developing a new university course in Android Programming among his many innovative projects.
