Dr. Joseph Herzog Degrees: Courses Regularly Taught: Master’s- SOW 5710 Substance Abuse Bachelor’s- SOW 4700 Substance Abuse Current Research Interests: Dr. Herzog’s primary research interests include social work with military populations, family therapy, play and therapy. He is currently involved in several projects including a incarcerated veterans re-entry program, Veteran Service Officer training, misdemeanor resolution among homeless veterans, and secondary trauma in veteran family members. Community and Professional Service: Dr. Herzog has been active with the VA stand-downs in Escambia and Okaloosa counties, and in various committees within the Department of Social Work, College of Professional Studies, and the University of West Florida. Organization/Professional Memberships: Dr. Herzog is a member of the Council on Social Work Education. He is a licensed clinical social worker. |
