During my experience as an Argonaut, I have seen very little change. Student Government has not been able to meet the demands of an ever-growing Student Body. I feel the bureaucracy that is Student Government has not allowed our campus community to reach its full potential. Before declaring candidacy, I was a member of the Air Force ROTC. During my experience, I learned a significant amount about leadership. In the end, I realized one of the hardest things about being a leader is having to always think in the best interest of the organization. I'm willing to make the decisions that are necessary to lead West Florida into a new future. As an example, during my tenure as President of the Air Force ROTC Cadet Club, I made tough decisions that saved the organization over $5000 a year. I do not attribute this only to money-management but because of a united coalition in an effort to be smarter while spending. If elected, I will streamline Student Government in effort to connect closer with the Student Body. By doing so, I will reduce spending on unnecessary positions and expenses in order to give more direct attention to the campus community. I know I have the ability to take this University where we want it to be. I hope you will have the faith in me to do the job diligently. Please vote Gamon/Friedland on Election Day and do your part to UNITE THE ARGO NATION!

For only being an Argonaut two brief years, I have enough great college experiences to last me a life-time. However, many Argonauts have told me that they have not got what they wanted out of their great college experience. With that being said, I always am striving to improve myself and my surrounding Student Body. I joined Student Government when I first enrolled at West Florida and it was an organization like no other. The organization taught me vastly about professionalism, time-management, leadership, and most importantly, moral responsibility. As someone who prides themselves on giving back and helping others, I knew Student Government was a perfect organization for me. During my term in the Senate, I have constantly strived to better our campus community and have gone above and beyond the job description time and time again. During November, I was the second Senator to be awarded the prestigious honor of Senator of the Month and that drastically changed my perspective towards Student Government. I quickly realized I was not meeting my full potential; I knew I could do more and correct the flaws I saw so clearly in front of me. I love the fact that our Senate and Student Body is diverse. However, I feel we could have more Argo Pride and Campus Unity. I will minimize the offices of Student Government while offering more transparency to the students. Also, I will cultivate and promote the relationship between Student and Student Leader while making our Student Government more efficient and a more direct representation of Student Body at large. I have the utmost confidence in my ability to serve the Student Body as your Vice-President and I will lead the Argonauts in the direction we wish to go. I ask you to do your part on Election Day and vote Gamon/Friedland. Together, we will UNITE THE ARGO NATION!
