Call For Proposals

ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION SYSTEM

The 56th Annual Convention of the
Southeastern Psychological Association
Chattanooga Convention Center

Chattanooga, Tennessee
Convention Dates:  March 10-13, 2010

***Deadline — Tuesday, October 13, 2009, NOON Central Daylight Time***

Welcome to the SEPA Electronic Submission System site.

In order to access the Electronic Submission System (ESS), you must have a valid e-mail address on file with the SEPA office, and your dues must be current.  Please contact the SEPA office to make sure your e-mail address is up-to-date and your dues have posted.  You may pay your dues on-line with Visa or Master Card at our Web site.  If you have problems with online payment, please contact the SEPA office at 850-474-2070 or sepa@uwf.edu

You will need your SEPA username and password to submit a proposal.  Members and Student Affiliates who are eligible to submit proposals received their username and password in an e-mail message from the SEPA Administrative Office on September 9, 2009.  If you did not receive your username and password, go to the Submission login site and request that the information be e-mailed to you.  Please note that the information can only be e-mailed to you at the e-mail address in the SEPA database.  Contact the Administrative Office at sepa@uwf.edu if you need to update your e-mail address or if you need help.

To submit (or edit) a proposal: You need your individual SEPA username and password to log in. If you do not remember your password, you can have it sent to you by clicking PROCEED, which will take you to the login page. You may then either get a password hint, or have your username and password sent to the e-mail address SEPA has in its database.

If you are not a SEPA member, you have two options:

Apply for membership (either student or professional - go to the SEPA website at: www.sepaonline.com and click on  SEPA ONLINE PAYMENT SYSTEM to apply for membership online and pay with a Visa or Master Card.  Or you may fill out a paper form (found on the SEPA Web site under “Membership” – on the left side of the home page), and mail the application form along with your check or money order to the SEPA office.

Have a sponsor (a SEPA member) submit your proposal on your behalf.  The sponsor does not need to be a participant in the proposed session to do this for you.  Members may submit as many of their own proposals (proposals on which they are author or co-author) as they choose; however, they may only submit a total of two proposals for non-members.  You cannot submit using a member's username and password.  All correspondence about your proposal will be sent to the sponsor, who is responsible for forwarding it to you.  Furthermore, the sponsor must agree with the following statement: “I certify that all those whose names are listed as participants in this session have agreed, barring an emergency situation, to participate in this presentation at the upcoming SEPA convention, and I will forward information about this proposal to all listed participants.”

A member who submits a proposal by a non-member is responsible for providing the person with all information about registration and hotel arrangements.  The submitting member may, but need not, be a participant in the submission. However, no member may sponsor more than two proposals in which the member is not a participant. Please note that the member who submits for a non-member will receive all information about the proposal (including acceptance/rejection) and is responsible for forwarding this information.
