More than 211 employees work together throughout six units of Public Safety & Management Services operations to help the University community provide best-class opportunities for education, research and public service. The department has primary responsibility for the stewardship of the University's physical properties valued in excess of $365,268,240, including more than 2,314,914 square feet of building space, as well as associated environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance for the 1,600 acre campus. The department is also responsible for the personal safety for over 1,906 faculty and staff, close to 10,000 students as well as approximately 34,250 visitors to our campus annually. The department serves as oversight and support for the expenditure of funds for commodities and services and serves as the delegated contractual authority for the University.
