The Associate Vice President for Public Safety & Management Services reports to the Executive Vice President for University Affairs, and is responsible for the safety, improvement and maintenance of the primary assets of the university comprising staff, fiscal resources and facilities. The office, comprised of the AVP and Coordinator, strives to:
- Promote and enhance campus safety
- Provide quality service to students, faculty, staff and visitors
- Protect, enhance and leverage the University's fiscal resources
- Protect and enhance the University's physical facilities
- Improve operational effectiveness and improve productivity
- Comply with applicable federal, state and local requirements
- Act as Chief Contracting Officer
- Act as a a team negotiator regarding applicable Union Contracts
