MyResNet provides UWF residents access to Cable and Internet through the University Network.


Hardware Support

If you have a MyResNet hardware Issue (wall port repair, missing coax cable or non functioning internet equipment) you may submit a work order and choose the "Technology Services" selection. If you need assistance submitting the work order please visit your area office in your residence hall. Work orders are responded to during normal business hours Monday-Friday excluding holidays.

If you need help with connection issues, registering or connecting your devices, ResNet support is available 24 hours a day. Please contact MyResNet using your preferred method below:


 

Getting Connected to MyResNet

Step 1: Set up your Account
Visit MyResNet and sign up to create an account. 

Step 2: Connect your devices

  • Make sure that ALL of your devices are registered as devices in your MyResNet account. If you use a device that has not been added, you will be prompted to add that device using the device’s MAC address.
  • Once you click continue, you’ll need to either create an account or log into your account. 
  • Notice that the MAC address for the device you’re on is already listed at the very bottom. 
  • Once you login or create an account, you’ll be redirected to your MyResNet dashboard. Select Add Device and input the MAC address that was shown on the previous screen.

 

Cable Information

Setup: To access your new channel options on campus, plug the coax cable directly into your TV and run a channel scan from your TV's set up menu. 

Find something to watch: To see when your desired programming is coming on, visit the Zap2it website, enter zip code 32514 and select University of West Florida from the list of providers. You can also print out the UWF Housing Channel Guide.

AgroAir is for use in the non-residential locations on the campus. If you're at a residence hall you should be connecting to MyResNet or MyResnet Legacy. If you need assistance connecting to AgroAir please refer to UWF ITS ArgoAir.

Apogee has provided links to a number of different Antivirus programs on your MyResNet dashboard. Login into myresnet.com and check the bottom right of the screen to see a link to Antivirus software.

Servers and routers are not allowed on the residential network. Routers may cause a disruption in the network and introduce unnecessary security risks for other students in the residence hall. For more information please see the Router Policy.
